QA Analyst

Stansberry Research is looking for a QA Analyst to be part of our Agile Web Development team. This role will be responsible for testing all aspects of our applications and ensuring the functionality and user experience match the criteria established by the business stakeholders and Product Owner.

As a team member, you will participate in daily meetings, discuss project planning and assist the team with bug tracking and regression testing. Additionally, you will be hands-on in content management (WordPress), ensuring the web applications are up to date with the latest Editorial/Marketing content. The ideal candidate and responsibilities are highlighted below.

• Work with the scrum team to identify testing needs and opportunities
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel
• Prioritize QA tasks to support organizational objectives
• Perform and participate in front-end and back-end testing
• Document and evaluate test results and defects, track bugs and work with Development team to troubleshoot issues
• Provide testing estimates for assigned work
• Perform regression testing

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred, but not required
• 1-3 years of QA experience highly desired
• iOS and/or Android UI testing
• Working knowledge of Windows and macOS, all major web browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edge) and iOS and Android mobile devices
• Experience with Agile software development (particularly Scrum) and JIRA/Confluence
• Ability to work in team-based environments
• Strong written and communication skills for documentation and bug reporting
• Attention to detail
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, PHP, Angular, Database, APIs, JavaScript and WordPress
• AWS experience desired but not required
• Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. (For CS Roles: Ability to remain seated for extended periods of time)
• Visual acuity for reading and using the computer
• Ability to hear
• Ability to freely move about the office
• Ability to use the phone/computer/keyboard/mouse/general office equipment for extended periods of time
• Ability to communicate with others in order to exchange information
• Fluency in the English language
