Sure, we publish financial research. We cover stocks, bonds, private investments, real estate, currencies, and crypto.

But those things alone don’t explain why 500,000 Americans pay for our research. After all, there are thousands of websites where you can get research for free.

So why pay for it?

The reason our subscribers pay for our research is because they are deeply interested in the ideas behind the research… the ideas that support our detailed and engaging analysis.

That’s what makes us an ideas business and that’s why our best people are deep thinkers… not just stock pickers.

For that reason, we’re looking for a big thinker… someone who can think about more than financial statements and earnings calls… someone who has a vision of the future… who can articulate that in a clear way to regular investors… and who (most importantly) can show them how to make money from that vision.

That’s what we want from the person who applies for our current opening of a Senior Research Analyst (internally, we call people in this role a “guru”, hence the focus on having a vision).

And the best thing about this role is that it’s completely independent and unbiased. As a business, we don’t take money from Wall Street or the government. Furthermore, there isn’t a company line that you have to toe.

Nor do we accept money from companies to write research about them. And we certainly don’t take advertising from big companies who are concerned about their image. That means no advertisers to offend.

Our revenue comes from one source: selling subscriptions... One by one... Word by word. That means we make money only if our readers are happy.

So, right now, we’re looking for an experienced analyst with a demonstrated passion for the financial markets. This role will require generating investment ideas across a variety of sectors.

You will have at your disposal a team of experienced, hard-working analysts.

You will have access to extensive investment resources to support your research effort.

This role also requires exceptional communications skills with a proven ability to turn investments and knowledge into simple, conversational language.

To be clear, we will give you (within reason!) all of the resources you need to help make you a success in our business.

• Stock-picking through bottoms up research.
• Translating investment ideas into attention-grabbing, high-quality financial newsletters that educate and inform retail investors and drive sales growth.
• Using your creative talent and extensive knowledge of finance to motivate our readers.
• Leading a team challenging and vetting ideas to bring readers accurate, relevant, and cutting-edge content.
• Partnering with marketing, production, and analyst teams as you promote ideas to a wider audience.

• 10-plus years previous experience in equity research, preferably as a portfolio manager or lead analyst
• A demonstrated track record of success picking stocks and generating alpha
• Familiarity with proper risk management techniques, i.e., position sizing and stop loss discipline
• A passion for the markets
• Superb communication skills, including writing, editing, and in-person interaction
• Ability to work on tight deadlines and willingness to go the extra mile
• Self-starter with loads of creativity, team spirit, versatility, and persistence
• Willingness to work with analysts and develop a cohesive team
• Team player with excellent organizational and project management skills, and strong attention to detail
• Frequent travel to Delray Beach headquarters
• Ability to travel to visit companies/attend relevant conferences
• Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing
• Visual acuity for reading and using the computer
• Ability to perceive
• Ability to freely move about the office
• Ability to use the phone/computer/keyboard/mouse/general office equipment for extended periods of time
• Ability to communicate with others in order to exchange information
• Fluency in the English language
