Legacy Research – one of the largest financial publishing firms in the world – is searching for a Marketing Proofreader Specialist to join our already stellar team.

 

The Marketing Proofreader Specialist role will lay the groundwork for the pre- and post-production review process within the Marketing Operations QA team. This position will leverage strong critical decision-making skills to ensure the accuracy and consistency of all the company’s marketing creatives and assets. The mission will be to help deliver error-free and high-quality marketing content to the company’s customer base across various media sources.

Responsibilities

  • Review all marketing copy, including scripts, creative, and funnels and suggest and make necessary changes to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency within our company standards.
  • Review content line by line to detect spelling, grammar, sentence structure, style, and formatting errors.
  • Make decisive judgment calls based on available guidance and business needs as to the degree and nature of edits required.
  • Assist in QA reviews of finished marketing assets and campaign setups to ensure they’re built correctly and reflect the correct details.
  • Develop familiarity with our brands, publications, promos, and campaigns to successfully shepherd our initiatives by ensuring our offers stay aligned with our system’s functionality.
  • Adhere to established Marketing team deadlines and production schedules.
  • Additional projects and tasks as requested by the Marketing Operations team.

Qualifications

  • Exceptionally strong grammar skills and proofreading techniques.
  • Marketing proofreading experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with AP or Chicago Style.
  • A knack for technology; proficient with computers.
  • Able to perform basic arithmetic and financial calculations.
  • Knowledgeable of basic marketing concepts and strategies.
  • Strategic thinking; able to think algorithmically and outside the box.
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency with Google Business Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Plus: Basic knowledge of “customer funnel” strategies or platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hubspot, Mailchimp, Clickfunnels, etc.
  • Plus: Basic familiarity with the investment world — terms, trends, etc.
  • Plus: Basic knowledge of QA methodologies.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing
  • Visual acuity for reading and using the computer
  • Ability to perceive
  • Ability to freely move about the office
  • Ability to use the phone/computer/keyboard/mouse/general office equipment for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate with others in order to exchange information
  • Fluency in the English language
